Simcoe County District School Board Relies on EiQ Networks’ SOCVue for Continuous Security Monitoring and Vulnerability Management

EiQ Networks, a pioneer in hybrid security as a service today announced that Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) has selected both of the company’s solutions, SOCVue® Security Monitoring and SOCVue® Vulnerability Management, to help defend against today’s volatile cyber threat landscape.

SCDSB, one of the largest school districts in Ontario, Canada, will use EiQ’s SOCVue Security Monitoring to collect and monitor log activities, such as Active Directory user and group changes, multiple log on failures, privilege escalation, and unusual traffic. The IT staff can view all of these in a single location within the SOCVue Portal. If there is an incident that requires SCDSB’s attention, EiQ’s SOC team will alert the SCDSB IT staff so they can address the issue immediately.

EiQ’s SOCVue Vulnerability Management will provide SCDSB with the ability to assess servers and identify any security holes. This includes finding missing security patches not just for the operating system, but also for installed applications. SOCVue Vulnerability Management will provide SCDSB’s IT staff with regular insight into issues that servers may have. Furthermore, this service will provide a historical trail of all possible issues regarding the SCDSB network through real-time reporting available in the SOCVue Portal.
